EFFICIENT
SOFTWARE: Today's high-performance computing environment
is extremely heterogeneous and continuously changing. Therefore,
the trade-off between efficiency and portability is a focal
issue for the long-term viability of seismic processing software
products.
3DGeo's development team
addresses this challenge by designing superior algorithms,
leveraging the efficiency of Linux clusters and, offering
flexible solution through the internet.
3DGeo designs algorithms
that are specifically targeted to modern parallel architectures
based on both distributed and shared-memory programming models.
Modular implementations of the designs assure both portability
and efficiency of the code base. The computational kernels
are coded for high efficiency on both cache-based microprocessors
and vector based processing units.
3DGeo software also has
caught the Linux "wave". Our software is completely
enabled for Linux allowing our customers to enjoy the low
costs, scalability, and high capacities of Linux PC clusters.
Our clusters are providing the same performance as our supercomputers
for about 10 percent of the cost!
The internet provides
yet another level of efficiency and flexibility. 3DGeo Internet
Seismic Processing (INSP) technology integrates a graphical
user interface (GUI) with 3DGeo's state-of-the-art software
applications to give users a flexible and dynamic new solution
for processing geophysical data. Flexible client-server architecture
is the foundation for the technology. This allows all of 3DGeo's
software products to be integrated into INSP, used via the
INSP GUI, and accessed through either the Internet or an intranet.
INSP also allows very easy integration of third-party and
custom software modules. So easy, that we've already integrated
hundreds of modules!
