| COMPANY
PROFILE: 3DGeo Inc. (3DGeo) is a leading
provider of advanced imaging software services for the oil and gas
industry. 3DGeo helps oil and gas companies visualize 3-D earth
structures and reduce the drilling risk associated with oil and gas
exploration. Companies that use 3DGeo's services lower the cost of
production, provide faster delivery of oil and gas to the
marketplace, and tap oil and gas from ever more challenging plays.
Since its founding in 1994,
3DGeo has accumulated a depth of technical expertise and built
a highly focused organization to ensure that promising new technologies and the latest 3-D
algorithms produce efficient, quick, and robust results.
In 1997, 3DGeo developed an
Internet-based seismic processing system (INSP) to deliver
leading-edge seismic services over the Internet and Intranets. INSP
enables exploration companies to directly control their critical
seismic imaging projects, without purchasing and maintaining
expensive hardware and software. The Internet collaborative platform
allows clients to participate directly in the model building and
interpretation of 3-D structures, greatly shortening
"time-to-drilling decisions". 3DGeo provides much shorter
time between the acquisition of the data and the informed decision
on where to drill.
The key processing service
delivered through INSP is 3DGeo's newly-developed wave-equation
migration imaging technology. 3DGeo has developed the first
economically feasible commercial implementation of wave-equation
migration. Wave-equation migration allows higher-resolution imaging
than current industry-standard methods, without sacrificing any of
the speed of the industry-standard methods (Kirchhoff). Furthermore,
Wave-equation migration is 60 times faster than other methods such
as Shot-Profile migration that achieve the same resolution and
accuracy as Wave-equation migration.
3DGeo Gives You the Best
Image. We say this because 3DGeo delivers very important competitive
advantages, including: (1) internet delivery with a Java-based GUI
that runs on any computer platform, (2) increased customer control
and interaction, (3) reduction in computational time for 3-D
imaging, and (4) better image accuracy
3DGeo has offices in Houston,
TX and Santa Clara, CA.
