SYNERGISTIC
APPROACH: Part
of 3DGeo's mission is to continually reduce the time required
to transfer seismic imaging
and knowledge, and to deliver the best images. Much of this
is fulfilled by a synergistic and collaborative approach to
product development and delivery.
3DGeo has several patents
on proprietary software products that reduce processing time
and provide superior images. 3DGeo has developed these products
while tapping the synergy of the industry's top minds and
leadership. 3DGeo's development process combines the key players
in technological innovations: researchers, engineers and sophisticated
users. 3DGeo's development team works in close collaboration
with customers to ensure the effectiveness of the product
in solving real world problems. 3DGeo benefits from strong
links with researchers at Stanford University and University
of California, Berkeley, and very sophisticated technical
teams in Texas.
This 3DGeo collaborative
model doesn't stop with new product and technology development.
It continues throughout the data processing stage using the
INSP Java graphical user interface (GUI). The 3DGeo collaborative
approach reduces processing turn-around time and optimizes
results because it allows the interaction of interpreters
and other users at all stages of data processing, and gives
them the ability to make changes and alter the processing
sequence as the job evolves. This is especially critical in
velocity depth model building where interpretation input can
be critical to obtaining the best depth migrated image.
3DGeo's Internet Seismic
Processing (INSP) is a synergistic and collaborative tool
that facilitates communication between members of geographically
distributed exploration teams. INSP provides them with the
tools to share information easily, regardless of the physical
distance between members of the team. Another advantage of
3DGeo's synergistic INSP approach is that if a network connection
is not available, the user can still interpret off-line and
synchronize results with the rest of the team when a connection
is available again.
