THE TEAM: 3DGeo's management team has extensive experience in geophysics
and software development and its application to oil and gas exploration:

Sheldon Breiner, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer

Dimitri Bevc, Ph.D., co-founder, and President

Alexander M. Popovici, Ph.D., co-founder, Chief Technology Officer

Biondo Biondi, Ph.D., co-founder, Chief Technical Advisor

Walt Ritchie, Vice President of Services

Sheldon Breiner is Chief Executive Officer at 3DGeo. He received a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D., all in Geophysics, from Stanford University. Dr. Breiner was a founding director of Sherpa Corporation, a 200-person company, sold in 1999 to a public company, providing engineering data management software to the manufacturing and service industry. He was co-founder and CEO of PML, Inc., which developed proprietary technology licensed to Schlumberger, Western Atlas and ARCO for identifying oil and gas around and between existing wells and which he sold to Baker Hughes in 1997. He was the founder and president for 15 years of GeoMetrics, Inc., manufacturer of land, marine and airborne geophysical instruments and world-wide airborne geophysical contractor for oil and mineral exploration sold to EG&G and later repurchased by management.

Dimitri Bevc is a co-founder and President of 3DGeo. He holds a Ph.D. (1995) in geophysics from Stanford University, a M.Sc. (1989) in engineering from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.A. (1984) in geophysics from U.C. Berkeley. Dr. Bevc worked from 1984 to 1987 as a geophysicist and crew chief with Electromagnetic Surveys Inc. In this capacity he was responsible for the acquisition and processing of field data and supervision of field crews throughout North America. From 1987 to 1991, he was employed by Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory where he performed research on borehole electromagnetic and resistivity methods applied to monitor subsurface fluid flow. In 1990 and 1991 he was employed by Chevron Exploration and Production Services as a geophysicist working on seismic processing and imaging. He is president of the Bay Area Geophysical Society.
Alexander Mihai Popovici is a co-founder of 3DGeo and CTO. He holds Ph.D. (1995) and M.Sc. (1991) degrees in geophysics from Stanford University, and a B.S. (1985) in geophysical and geological engineering from University of Bucharest, Romania. Dr. Popovici's industry experience includes work in the seismic processing research department for Halliburton Geophysical Services in Dallas and Houston, and EM acquisition and processing contracts with the University of Bucharest, Romania. From 1987 to 1988, he was employed at Guzik Technical as a staff engineer for magnetic recording and software development, and as a consultant until 1993. He has been a member of the SEG Research Committee since 1995, and is Associate Editor (Seismic Migration) for Geophysics, a prominent industry publication.
Biondo L. Biondi is a co-founder of 3DGeo and Chief Technology Advisor. He graduated from Politecnico di Milano in 1984, and received an M.S. (1988) and a Ph.D. (1990) in geophysics from Stanford. During 1987 he worked as a Research Geophysicist for TOTAL, Compagnie Francaise des Petroles in Paris. From 1990 to 1994, Dr. Biondi worked for Thinking Machines Co. developing seismic processing applications on massively parallel computers. Dr. Biondi is currently Associate Professor (Research) of Geophysics at Stanford, and is co-director of the Stanford Exploration Project.
Walt Ritchie is Vice President of Services at 3DGeo and based in Houston, Texas. In this capacity Mr. Ritchie directs the delivery of all processing work and the successful management of client relations. Prior to joining 3DGeo, Mr. Ritchie was Vice President, Worldwide Operations, for Baker Hughes E&P Solutions division, a major publicly held energy services company. In this role he directed teams of geoscientists and engineers in risk assessment and exploitation of oil and gas properties worldwide with net reserve additions exceeding 60 MMBOE. Mr. Ritchie also was Vice President of Exploration and Production at Baker Hughes. This included the discovery of significant oil fields in offshore China and West Africa as well as a large deepwater Gulf of Mexico gas field. Mr. Ritchie received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Geology from Glasgow University, and earned an MBA from Southern Methodist in Dallas, Texas.
