Mountain View, CA, March 27 - Sheldon Breiner has joined the 3DGeo Inc. as a director, in charge of business development. Dr. Breiner was the founder and president of GeoMetrics, manufacturer of land, marine and airborne geophysical instruments and world-wide airborne geophysical contractor for oil and mineral exploration, which he sold to EG&G. He was co-founder and CEO of PML, Inc., which developed proprietary technology licensed to Schlumberger, Western Atlas and ARCO for identifying oil and gas around and between existing wells, and which he sold to Baker Hughes in '97.

"Dr. Breiner's unique experience spanning both the oil & gas industry and Silicon Valley high-tech is a perfect fit for 3DGeo's stat-of-the-art imaging offerings and Internet seismic processing initiative. We look forward to his contribution as we open our Houston office and ramp-up both our conventional and Internet services," said Dimitri Bevc, president of 3DGeo.

Within the industry, Sheldon Breiner received the Outstanding Presentation Award at the International Meeting of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. His Ph. D. dissertation was on the subject of earthquake prediction on the San Andreas fault in California and he still operates a home-built seismograph under his home. He has published over 50 technical papers and one technical book on the use of magnetometers with over 800,000 copies in print. In the late '60s, he developed the first gun detector at the request of the White House, now a standard for security systems at airports.
